Lawn Care in Vinton, VA

Vinton is home base. The trailer starts here most mornings, which makes it the easiest place for us to fit in an extra stop — an overgrown lot, a property going on the market, or a job that got away from someone over the summer.

Being based here doesn't make it cheaper — we price the property, not the drive. It changes how quickly we can get to you, which matters more than people expect.

Local know-how

What Vinton's town rules mean for you

Every town around here handles yard debris differently, and it changes what you should expect from whoever you hire.

  • Grass over twelve inches is a code violation. The town enforces it, and if repeated notices go unanswered it can arrange the mowing itself and place a lien on the property for the cost. If a rental, an inherited house or a property you're preparing to sell has gotten away from you, that's a solvable problem and nobody here is going to lecture you about it.
  • The town does collect loose leaves — a couple of cycles through late fall, raked to the edge of the pavement. If you'd rather not rake a whole yard to the curb and hit the week, we clear it and take it with us.
  • Stumps and root balls aren't collected. Town brush pickup excludes tree stumps, root balls and trunks over two feet across or six feet long. That's exactly the material a removal produces, which is why ours goes on the trailer rather than to the curb.

Town schedules shift year to year — vintonva.gov has the current dates. The exclusions on stumps and root balls are the part that rarely changes.

Before you call

Questions about Vinton.

You're based in Vinton — is it cheaper?

No. We price on the property, not the drive. What being local changes is how fast we can get there, which matters if you're trying to list a house or you've had a notice from the town.

I've had a letter about the grass height. How quickly can you get out?

Call and we'll give you a real date rather than a maybe. Overgrown lots are regular work for us, and Vinton is the town we can usually reach soonest.

Do you take away stumps and root balls?

Yes, and it matters here because town brush collection won't. Stumps, root balls and large trunk sections are excluded, so anything we remove leaves on our trailer.
