When is the best time to trim?
For most foundation shrubs, late spring after the first flush and again in late summer. Spring bloomers get cut after they flower, otherwise you remove next year's buds along with the growth.
What happens to the clippings?
They land on tarps, get rolled up and go with us. You shouldn't be finding cuttings in your beds two weeks later.
Can shrubs this overgrown be saved?
Usually. Most can be brought back over two seasons rather than one hard cut, which is safer for the plant. If one is too far gone we'll tell you and price the removal instead.
